Hali has lots of nicknames..."HB" for Hali Bear, "Spider Pig", "Wiggle Butt", "Peanut", "Little Sweetie"...ya that is our Hali Bear...we love her.  Hali's favorite things in life are...TREATS, Little Kids...she loves them, swimming in the lake, giving kisses...although we discourage this to strangers and being outside!

Ice Fishing Extravaganza~A Perfect Day

We attending the BRAINERD JAYCEES $150,000 ICE FISHING EXTRAVAGANZA held on Saturday, January 23, 2010, on Hole in the Day Bay on Gull Lake held from Noon to 3pm.  When I say we...I mean, Mr. Matt (my hubby), my brother-in-law "B" and myself.  Let it be said.....despite the weird weather, freezing rain, more rain, sleet and then snow, we had a blast!  No fish were caught by us three, not even a bite, but we made the best of it and had a great time fishing, visiting, watching the going-ons and jigging of course!  The gentleman who won the contest caught a 6.26 pound walleye in the opening minutes of the contest!  Yeah for him, he won a 2010 GMC pickup.  Not bad for a day of ice fishing!  All proceeds of this extravaganza go to local charities and mostly benefit the Confidence Learning Center.  There was over 12,000 people in attendance at this extravaganza!  It is big, it was fun, it was real, but it was not "real fun" for us to participate again for several years!  The last picture I have shared is a "Pirate Flag" which I happen to be a HUGE fan of!  I just had to snap a shot of this great pirate flag that was flying high and proud at the extravaganza!  In the summer time at our home (we live on a lake) we fly a "Pirate Flag".....   "ARRRRHHH MATEY"

WHAT WAS I THINKING...I DID NOT ORDER MYSELF A JOE'S BAG and now I am totally kicking myself! Yesterday we received in our new line....new bags...by Joe's Jeans! These bags are beautiful from front to back, side to side and top to bottom! I am in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with Joe's Jeans handbags. The quality of the leather is spot on, the hardware is substantial and the colors are bone and taupe, which the taupe bag looks grey to me! Fresh and Hot for Spring 2010. Knitting Class with my Sista

Last night...I ventured out with my sister and took a knitting class! OMG...let me go on further to say, my sister signed me up for the class, paid my tuition for the class and out knit me! LOL

All joking aside, it was awesome to spend the evening with my sister. I love her dearly and appreciate any amount of time we can spend together. We went out for dinner and then headed to knitting class! The two instructors were so kind, patient and of course...helpful! We started with cotton yarn, knitting needles of course and were taught how to cast on! Then we learned how to do the knit stitch and we were off! Let me say...I did not make much progress in the two hours of class! I went home...slept on the dynamics of knitting and started back at it this morning. It is going much better, although I will let you know the end result!?

GOLDEN GLOBE 2010 Fashions

Hey there Dolls...we are gonna chat about the Golden Globe Fashions of 2010! I will give you a run down of my fav's of the evening! I just love award season...I love to see all the new fashions, trends with hair, make-up, accessories and of course...all the good looking celebs ; )

I found the evening trends to be a lot of shades of purple, ruffles, embellishments on the gowns and the hair and make-up kept clean!

My absolute favorite dress of the night was Kate Hudson's white Marchesa gown with tassel pearl earrings by Stephen Russell! This gown fit her perfectly and the organic interesting details makes this a stunner! I really have never seen Kate look soooo good! Perfect choice and the color really stood out on the red carpet! A++++

Even though Jennifer Aniston was not up for an award, she was a presenter and I thought she looked smashing! I absolutely LOVE Jennifer Aniston and she always looks amazing...so with that being said...Jennifer is my number two favorite of the night! Jennifer is wearing a black Valentino Couture gown and Fred Leighton jewelry! Her hair is perfect and clean make-up really works for me! I just love the high leg slit in this gown, she can really work it!

My third favorite dress of the evening was Sandra Bullock's! She was up for an award and WON! Big shout out to ya Doll for all that talent and beauty!

Sandra wore this fab strapless violet Bottega Veneta gown with a sexy sheer skirt and accessorized with a clutch from Bottega Veneta and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry! Sandra looked so beautiful!

I am wearing my new Fidelity Skinny Leg Scoop Jeans in Dark Destruct wash and they are AWESOME! The fit, the fabric and oh...the wash! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! They are not too low, they are not too high for me...in fact, they are perfect! I can totally see myself wearing these a lot, like a few times a week, if I can get away with it! They fit perfectly into boots, just the way I like to rock them!

Hey Dolls! I am blogging so I survived my ski trip! YEAH! It was totally awesome. The runs were a little icy, but nevertheless, awesome. The views atop the mountain are incredible. I just LOVE Duluth! I went with my brother-in-law "B" and he totally rocked on his board! I on the other hand...kept trying to catch him all day! There is a run called "Timber Cruizer" and well let it be said...it got the very best of me! I laughed a lot down this run...cuz I was on the ground a lot on this run! A very young boy boarded up to me and asked me if I was alright...I replied..."yeah, I am fine"...followed by a ton of laughter! I hope I did not damage that poor young fella! LOL

I kept trying that run, but always wiping out...but "B" on the other hand, totally rocked his boarding skills down that run! Check out a couple pics of us in the Chalet warming up...or having a little "liquid courage"!

NOW ONTO FASHION...yesterday, while I was off...we received in this adorable knit ruffle layered tank top by Hazel in a fab tangerine color! We love this knit piece. It has adjustable straps that cross in the back...and well, if you are taking a vacation, you really must have this tank top!

Hey Dolls, this is my first time blogging on my new blog...it is sooooo exciting!

We have received in some great new denim at Royal Expressions Boutique!

Big Star sent us the Remy Boot Cut in the Domino wash! A super great fabric (98% cotton/2% Spandex), along with a fresh medium blue wash and back flap pockets which make this a must have pair of BIG STAR JEANS for your denim wardrobe! Keep in mind Dolls, the Big Star Jeans are cut a little fuller in the hip/seat/upper thigh area, so for all you athletic Dolls, you will love these jeans!

Next up is the Fidelity Scoop Skinny Leg Jean in Dark Destruct wash! I am totally obsessed and in love with these jeans. They are a skinny leg but fit real Dolls! ; ) The wash is just sick on them too~my favorite part about them is the slight destruct and bleach spots, totally rocker chic!
